Housam Babiker

Housam Babiker is a machine learning developer at AltaML. Housam received their PhD in Computing Science from the University of Alberta in 2017. Housam's research focused on explainable AI. From 2018 to 2019, Housam worked as a machine learning researcher at the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Alberta, where they developed a tool to extract information from Electronic Medical Records. Prior to that, Housam was a research scholar at the Information Security Lab at the Faculty of Information Science and Technology at Multimedia University, where they developed algorithms for biometrics and graphical passwords.

Housam Babiker works with Daniel Collins - Associate Machine Learning Developer, Jenny Lien - Senior Machine Learning Developer, and Lucas Queiroz - Machine Learning Developer. Their manager is Graham Erickson, Lead Machine Learning Developer.
