Juliano Bitu Rabelo

Juliano Bitu Rabelo is the current Director of Data Science at AltaML. Prior to this, they were a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Alberta, where they were responsible for the organization of the AI Seminars and co-organizer of COLIEE. Before that, they worked as a software engineer at IBM. Juliano has a particular interest in Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing and Explainable AI.

Juliano Bitu Rabelo has a PhD in Artificial Intelligence from Universidade Federal de Pernambuco, a Master's in Artificial Intelligence from the same school, and a Bachelor's in Computer Science from Universidade Federal de Pernambuco. Juliano is certified by the World Education Services in Verified International Academic Qualifications and by the Project Management Institute in PMP.

Juliano Bitu Rabelo reports to Marcin Mizianty, VP, Data Science. Some direct reports include Chad Bryant - Data Science Manager, Gagan Kapoor - Data Science Manager, and Matthew Dowling - Data Science Manager.
