Olga Malykhina has a diverse work experience in the fields of research, editing, and education. Olga began their career in 2002 as a Molecular Virology Technician at Rush University Medical Center. From 2005 to 2011, they worked as a Ph.D. Graduate Student at Nationwide Children's Research Institute, focusing on developing a respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) vector for gene expression and screening compounds. Following that, from 2011 to 2013, they served as a postdoctoral fellow at Northwestern University, where they studied the interactions between antibodies and mucins in cervical mucus for potential vaccine development. From 2013 to 2015, Olga worked as an Adjunct Professor at North Park University, teaching biology courses. Olga then became a Visiting Professor at DeVry University from 2013 to 2016, teaching various courses in biological sciences and chemistry. Alongside their teaching positions, they also worked as an Editor for BAOJ HIV and served as an Editorial Board Member for the International Journal of Vaccines and Immunization from 2015 to 2019. From 2016 to 2022, Olga held multiple roles at Charles River Laboratories and Altasciences, including Research Scientist and Ligand-Binding Scientist, where they conducted studies, developed methods, and analyzed clinical samples. Currently, they hold the position of Principal Research Scientist at Altasciences.
