Karen Rijken has extensive experience in the senior living and care industry. Karen began their career at Sunrise Senior Living in 2005 as an Activities Director, where they managed and organized activities for residents. After two years, they transitioned to Vi at Palo Alto (formerly Classic Residence by Hyatt) as a Social Worker, providing support and assistance to residents. In 2014, Karen joined The Wellington as an Activities Director, a role they held until 2018. During their time at The Wellington, they were responsible for coordinating and managing various activities for residents. Following their tenure at The Wellington, Karen worked as a Sales Counselor at The Wellington, Senior Resource Group. Currently, they serve as the Client Care Manager at TheKey, where they ensure excellent client care and satisfaction.

Karen Rijken attended San Francisco State University from 2005 to 2007, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Sociology.
