Before Carlsberg, Mikkel worked at Reckitt Benckiser as the Nordic Marketing Director, and at Procter & Gamble in roles such as Senior Brand Manager and Assistant Brand Manager. Mikkel also has experience as a Consulting Partner and Assistant Shop Manager at Häagen-Dazs.
Mikkel Pilemand's education history begins in 1987 when they attended Lyngby Gymnasium and completed their A-Levels, with a focus on Mathematics and English. From 1990 to 1992, they studied at Lyngby Uddannelsescenter, where they pursued a degree in Marketing and Economics and obtained the qualification of Markedsøkonom. Later, from 1994 to 1997, they attended ESCP Business School and earned a degree in Business Administration, specializing in the field of Economics and Marketing. Additionally, during the same period, they pursued the degree of EMIM.
