Kim Potter

Clinical Research Associate at Alume Biosciences

Kim Potter has a career in conducting and facilitating scientific advancement and has over 12 years of experience in academic and medical research. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and her Master's in preclinical studies at San Diego State University. She has a background in basic science, preclinical studies, and clinical studies.

Kim brings Clinical Trial experience from her time working at the University of California San Diego while managing a trial focused on a novel approach to mental health treatment. She has held academic research positions coordinating multisite clinical studies concerning several areas of focus including drug and alcohol abuse, genetics, memory disorders, and teratogens. Most recently Kim comes from coordinating orthopedic medical research for the United States Naval Medical Health System. Notably, during this time, she spearheaded the initiative to allow patients access to investigational medications in an effort to safely deliver optimal treatment approaches while safeguarding FDA regulations. From time to time Kim serves as a lecturer for college courses in San Diego.
