Lior Ben Asaf has worked in a variety of roles since 2013. From 2013-2016, they were a Laboratory Assistant at Sheba - Tel Ha SHomer Hospital, where they were responsible for performing a wide range of clinical molecular tests and deciphering the data to provide answers to physicians for the diagnosis and prognosis of leukemia patients. From 2016-2021, they were a Teaching Assistant at Bar-Ilan University. Currently, they are a Computational Protein Designer at Amai Proteins.

Lior Ben Asaf obtained a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Bioinformatics from Bar-Ilan University between 2017 and 2021. Prior to this, they earned a Master's Degree in Regenerative Medicine from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem between 2010 and 2012.
