Jason Marks

Mr. Marks joined Amarin in August 2021 as Chief Legal Officer. He brings a global perspective with combined legal and operational expertise leading teams in the United States and internationally. Most recently, Mr. Marks served as the Chief Legal Officer and Head of Corporate Development at TerrAscend, Corp., a publicly traded company where he led a number of complex transactions in a dynamic and challenging regulatory environment. Prior to this, he served as Chief Legal Officer, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of InflaRx N.V., a publicly traded biotechnology company headquartered in Germany. Prior to that, Mr. Marks was SVP, Head of Legal Branded Rx (Salix) and Global Litigation and Government Investigations at Bausch Health, a $2+ billion commercial pharmaceutical business. Mr. Marks also held senior roles at Novartis’s Alcon division, including the head of legal for North America and at Stryker Corporation in Europe and the United States.

He has extensive experience on matters ranging from complex transactions, regulatory, product launch and commercialization, clinical development, corporate governance and litigation to dealing with governmental agencies. Mr. Marks has a deep breadth of experience, having managed a variety of functions for multi-national companies in life sciences, including biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, consumer health, and medical devices. He has had responsibility for functions, including legal, corporate development, legal operations, compliance and enterprise risk management.
