Graham Beaton, Ph.D. started their work experience as a Staff Scientist at Ambient Photonics in February 2023. Prior to this role, they worked at Queen's University from September 2018 to September 2022 as a Graduate Research Assistant and also held a CREATE-Materials for Advanced Photonics and Sensing Fellowship during the same period. Before joining Queen's University, Graham was a Special Education Paraprofessional at Oyster River High School from September 2017 to June 2018. Graham started their professional journey at the University of New Hampshire in September 2015, where they served as an Undergraduate Senior Thesis Researcher from September 2016 to May 2017, a Summer Undergraduate Research Fellow from May 2016 to September 2016, an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant (Classroom) from January 2016 to May 2016, and an Undergraduate Researcher from September 2015 to May 2016.

Graham Beaton, Ph.D. received their Doctor of Philosophy degree in Materials Chemistry from Queen's University between 2018 and 2022. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Chemistry at the University of New Hampshire from 2013 to 2017. In addition to their degrees, they have obtained certifications in Hazardous Materials Training, Hazardous Waste Handling, Laboratory and Chemical Safety, and Magnet Safety.
