Vera D'Aloisio

Vera D'Aloisio has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies.

Vera is currently working as a European Sales Manager at AmbioPharm - A Global Peptide CDMO since May 2022.

Prior to that, they worked as a MetID Analytical Scientist II at Cyprotex from March 2022 to June 2022.

Vera D'Aloisio also worked at Liverpool John Moores University in multiple positions. Vera started as a PhD Student in September 2018 and completed their research on the design, synthesis, and evaluation of serum-stable peptide antagonists of the CGRP receptor as a novel treatment for migraine in May 2022. During their time there, they gained expertise in various techniques such as peptide and peptoid design, synthesis and analysis, peptide purification, drug metabolism and protein binding assays, cell culture procedures, and nanoparticle preparation, among others. Vera also took up the roles of Teaching Support Officer from October 2020 to September 2021 and Laboratory Demonstrator from September 2019 to March 2020.

In 2021, they worked as a Visiting PhD Researcher at The University of Edinburgh from October to December.

Additionally, they worked as a Post-graduate Researcher at Liverpool John Moores University from January 2018 to July 2018, and as a Research Trainee from February 2017 to August 2017, where they focused on synthesis and analysis of biodegradable polymers, synthesis of anti-migraine peptides, and formulation optimization of polymeric nanoparticles.

Vera D'Aloisio also has experience as a Pharmacy Trainee at Farmacia Dr. Lauro Tomassini from July 2016 to January 2017, where they played a key role in the dispensing process and built positive relationships with customers.

Vera D'Aloisio obtained a Master's degree in Pharmacy and Industrial Pharmacy from the University of Camerino between 2012 and 2017. Following this, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Medicinal and Pharmaceutical Chemistry at Liverpool John Moores University from 2018 to 2022.
