Cory WJ Sutherland has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. In 1997, they began their career as an Engineer at Canspec Group, Inc. and worked there until 2000. From 2001 to 2002, they served as a Failure Metallurgist and Supervisor at Stork, a Fluor company, where they optimized the performance of the Failure Analysis & Metallurgy Group.

In 2002, Sutherland joined Bodycote as a Consulting Metallurgical Engineer and Laboratory Manager, where they played a key role in the Metallurgical Division. Cory WJ sourced and selected Failure Analysis & Material Testing Projects from various industries and coordinated with clients to deliver quotes and resolve corrosion, welding, and metallurgical issues.

From 2004 to 2011, Sutherland worked for Intertek AIM Services, holding various senior-level leadership roles. Cory WJ organized and managed engineering personnel for AIM projects and was eventually named Director - Petrochemical Business Unit in 2011. Cory WJ also served as the Director - Asia Pacific and Director of Operations during their tenure.

In 2012, Sutherland joined Wood Group Integrity Management as a Lead Integrity Engineer. Cory WJ later became a Senior Integrity Engineer and played a strategic role in developing Asset Integrity Management strategies/programs for cross-functional teams. From 2015 to 2019, they served as the VP/Regional Line Manager, Integrity - Americas Region at Wood, overseeing the expansion of Asset Integrity Management Solutions offerings.

Sutherland then joined TEAM, Inc. in 2020 as the Global Director - TEAM Tank Consultants | Integrated Client Solutions, before being promoted to Vice President of Sales & Strategy for the Asset Integrity & Digital (AID) Group. Cory WJ made significant contributions to the company's growth, prioritizing budgets and achieving strong returns.

Most recently, in 2022, Sutherland became the Vice President - Operations & Corporate Strategy at Amerapex, where they continue to utilize their expertise in guiding the company's operations and corporate strategy.

Cory WJ Sutherland attended the University of Alberta from 1997 to obtain a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Metallurgical Engineering. Additionally, they hold several certifications including being an API 653 Certified Inspector by the American Petroleum Institute, a Professional Engineer (PE) by Professional Engineers Ontario, a Professional Engineer (PE) by The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA), and a Professional Engineer (PE) by Engineers and Geoscientists BC.
