Maia Jack, Ph.D., has a diverse work experience in the field of chemical policy and regulatory affairs. Maia is currently the Founder/Principal of CPGglobal, LLC, where they provide strategic guidance on chemical policy issues for the Consumer Packaged Goods industry. Maia also serves as the Chief Science and Regulatory Officer at the American Beverage Association, where they advise on nutrition science, ingredient safety, and regulatory frameworks. Previously, they held positions at the Chemistries of Heated Carbohydrates Consortium, the American Frozen Food Institute, and the Grocery Manufacturers Association, where they focused on regulatory affairs and international policy. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Technical Specialist at Human Genome Sciences, Inc. and as a PostDoctoral Fellow at NIH/NIDDK/Diabetes Branch, conducting research on insulin action and insulin resistance.
Maia Jack, Ph.D. completed their education in a field of study related to Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Maia started their academic journey in 1991 and attained a B.Sc. Highest Honors degree in Chemistry from Carleton University in 1994. Following this, they pursued further studies and enrolled in The Pennsylvania State University The Milton S. Hershey School of Medicine from 1994 to 1999, where they successfully obtained their Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.

The American Beverage Association is the trade association that represents America's non-alcoholic beverage industry. ABA was founded in 1919 as the American Bottlers of Carbonated Beverages, and renamed the National Soft Drink Association in 1966. Today the ABA represents hundreds of beverage producers, distributors, franchise companies and support industries. Together, they bring to market hundreds of brands, flavors and packages, including regular and diet soft drinks, bottled water and water beverages, 100 percent juice and juice drinks, sports drinks, energy drinks and ready-to-drink teas.
