Erin R. Powell, MA has a diverse work experience in various communication and digital media roles. Starting in 2012, Erin worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at American University, focusing on research and analysis. The following year, they interned at NOAA's Sanctuary Watch, where they contributed to their projects. In 2013, Erin also interned at World Footprints LLC as a Digital Media Intern.

After completing their graduate studies, Erin joined IREX in 2013, where they held multiple positions including Communications Intern, Communications Associate, Communications Coordinator, and eventually, Communications and Digital Media Officer. During their time at IREX, Erin gained extensive experience in communications and digital media strategies.

In 2018, Erin joined ifaw as a Digital & Social Media Strategist, where they developed and implemented social media strategies. Erin was later promoted to Senior Digital & Social Media Strategist before leaving the company in 2022.

Erin also has a passion for advocacy and community engagement. Erin served as an Executive Board Member at DC EcoWomen from 2019 to 2020, and as a DC Ambassador for The Nudge from 2021 to 2022.

In 2021, Erin joined Hue as a member, and in 2022, they assumed the role of Director, Social Media & Digital Content at the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN).
