Makeda Weaver

Makeda Weaver, MBA, SHRM-SCP, and Prosci CCMP, currently serves as a Senior Organizational Development Consultant at the American Chemical Society since November 2023. Previously, Makeda held the position of Program Manager for Talent Management at DC Water from June 2018 to October 2021, where a people-focused approach was utilized to support strategic growth and implement customized development programs for over 1500 employees during an enterprise-wide Oracle ERP implementation. Prior experience includes serving as an HR Development Specialist at the DC Government, where leadership curriculum was developed in partnership with George Washington University for executive training, and as a Learning and Development Coordinator at George Washington University, enhancing training for over 900 employees. Earlier roles include support positions at Harvard Business School and as a Career Specialist at the Boston Private Industry Council, providing career advising to high school students. Makeda holds an MBA from the University of Maryland Global Campus and a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from UMass Boston.
