Ashley Raftis

Ashley Raftis is a seasoned legal professional with over a decade of experience, currently serving as Senior Counsel at American Equity since July 2011. Raftis has held various roles within the organization, including Counsel and Law Clerk. Prior experience includes serving as a Student Attorney at the Drake Legal Clinic, handling cases related to family law, and an internship at Iowa Mediation Services, where responsibilities included client interviews and mediation observation. Raftis also gained experience as an intern for the Republican Party of Iowa, assisting in organizing events and outreach efforts. Raftis earned a Juris Doctor (J.D.) with a Public Service Certificate from Drake University Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Speech Communication, and Philosophy from Iowa State University.
