Brandi Gilbert

Co Director Of The Graduate Education Diversity Internship Program at American Evaluation Association

Brandi Gilbert, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience in the field of evaluation, research, and community science. Brandi started their career in 2007 as a Graduate Research Associate at the Natural Hazards Center, where they contributed to the evaluation planning of the USGS Tsunami Scenario Project. In 2008, they interned at the American Evaluation Association, conducting an assessment of the University of Colorado Women's Resource Center Student Volunteer Program. Brandi then joined Community Science in 2013 as a Consultant, supporting community-based evaluation projects and assisting with proposal development. In 2015, they became a Research Associate at The Urban Institute, specializing in evaluation. Brandi then served as Co-Director of the Graduate Education Diversity Internship Program at the American Evaluation Association in 2017. Brandi returned to Community Science in 2019 as a Managing Associate and is currently working as a Senior Associate.

Brandi Gilbert, Ph.D. obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from the University of Delaware in the years 2002-2007. Brandi then pursued their academic career at the University of Colorado Boulder, where they completed their Ph.D. in Sociology from 2007 to 2013.
