Adrienne Alexander

Director Of Intergovernmental Affairs at American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees

Adrienne Alexander has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Starting in 2005, they worked as an intern and campaign coordinator for the City of Atlanta, where they updated databases and conducted research for projects. In 2007, they became a Bill Emerson National Hunger Fellow at the Congressional Hunger Center, where they organized conferences and established a food policy coalition. In 2009, they worked as a democracy intern at TakeAction Minnesota and a legislative intern at AFL CIO. Adrienne also served as a research assistant at the University of Minnesota and a policy intern at the Minneapolis Regional Labor Federation in 2010. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Intergovernmental Affairs at AFSCME Council 31.

Adrienne Alexander completed their education with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Agnes Scott College, which they attended from 2003 to 2007. Adrienne later pursued further studies and obtained a Master of Public Policy degree with a focus on Labor Policy from the University of Minnesota, where they were enrolled from 2008 to 2010.
