Andrei Chapoval has worked in a variety of roles in the scientific field. Andrei began their career in 1994 as a Research Fellow at the Mayo Clinic. In 1996, they became a Postdoctoral Associate at the Jackson Laboratory. Andrei then moved to the B7 family in 1998, where they were a Post doc. After this, they returned to the Mayo Clinic in 1998 as a Research Fellow. In 2002, they became a Senior Research Scientist at CuraGen Corporation. From 2005 to 2013, they worked at the University of Maryland as an Assitant Professor, and at the same time they were the Director of the Russian-American Anti Cancer Center. From 2013 to 2015, they were a Professor, Department of Physico-Chemical Biology and Biotechnology at Altai State University. Andrei then moved to Arizona State University, where they were an Associate Research Professor and Associate Professor from 2015 to 2022. Andrei is currently a Principal Scientist at American Gene Technologies International Inc.
Andrei Chapoval obtained their Ph.D. in Immunology from the Institute for Human Morphology Russian Academy of Medical Science between 1990 and 1994. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science in Biology from Altai State University between 1984 and 1989.
