Aimee D. has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Aimee served as a Research Associate and Research Assistant at the American Institutes for Research from 2018. Prior to that, they worked as a Case Manager at Huckleberry Youth Programs in 2018. In 2017, they interned as a Refugee Resettlement Intern at the International Rescue Committee. Aimee also gained experience as a Reintegration Program Intern at Young in Prison (YIP) in 2015. Their earliest work experience was as an English Tutor at Kumon North America, Inc. from 2010 to 2011.

Aimee D. began their education at Los Altos High School from 2008 to 2012, where they completed their high school education. Aimee then pursued their bachelor's degree at the University of Southern California, specializing in Sociology, from 2013 to 2017. Later, in 2015, Aimee attended the University of Cape Town for a brief period, studying Development Studies and Social Work. Following this, they pursued a postgraduate certificate in Refugee Protection and Forced Migration from the School of Advanced Study, University of London, from 2019 to 2020. Most recently, in 2022, Aimee enrolled in the University of Sydney for a Master of Education (MEd) degree, specializing in Educational Psychology.
