Ben Martinez

Senior Research Scientist at American Institutes for Research

Ben Martinez has extensive experience in the research and education fields. Ben started their career in 1997 as a Curriculum Developer & Counselor at Prep-for-Prep, where they worked until 1999. In 1999, they joined the American Institutes for Research as a Research Scientist and held this role until 2006. During this time, they gained valuable expertise in research methodologies and analysis. From 2006 to 2012, they served as the National Program Director at Breakthrough Collaborative, where they showcased their leadership skills and effectively managed nationwide programs. In 2013, they returned to the American Institutes for Research as a Senior Research Scientist, where they currently work. In this role, they continue to contribute their knowledge and expertise to research projects.

Ben Martinez holds an M.A. in Education & Politics from Teachers College, Columbia University. Ben obtained this degree from 1995 to 1996. Prior to this, they completed their B.A. in Politics at Pomona College, a four-year program that they attended from 1991 to 1995.
