Managing Researcher at American Institutes for Research

Carrie Scholz has a diverse work experience in the field of research and education. Carrie has worked at the American Institutes for Research since 2013, starting as a Senior Researcher and currently serving as a Principal Researcher. In their role as Principal Researcher, Carrie leads the development of alliances with districts and states, manages state liaisons, and assists in the design of evaluation studies. Carrie also enjoys working with organizations to develop logic models and discuss the actionable results of evaluations.

Before joining the American Institutes for Research, Carrie worked at Learning Point Associates from 2006 to 2009. During their time there, they managed research projects, including a state-wide evaluation of full-day kindergarten, and assisted in states' needs-sensing research and dissemination efforts.

Carrie Scholz has an extensive education history. Carrie first attended Westminster College (PA) from 1998 to 2002, earning a Bachelor's degree in Psychology & Spanish. Carrie then pursued further education at Purdue University, where they obtained a Master's degree in Child Development and Family Studies. Carrie's education did not stop there, as they went on to attend the University of Illinois Chicago from 2006 to 2013. During this time, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Educational Policy Studies.
