Paul Maxon

Director Of Math Test Development at American Institutes for Research

Paul Maxon has a strong background in education and test development. paul began their career as a Middle and High School Mathematics Teacher at Fairfax County Public Schools in 1998 and worked there until 2005. During this time, they gained experience in teaching mathematics to students of different grade levels. In 2005, Paul joined the American Institutes for Research as the Director of Math Test Development. In this role, they were responsible for managing all aspects of test development and worked across multiple states. Paul was recognized as an integral senior team member, an innovator, and a problem solver, particularly on challenging projects with tight schedules.

Paul Maxon attended Virginia Tech from 1990 to 1995, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. Following that, they enrolled at Old Dominion University from 1996 to 1998, completing a Master of Science degree in Secondary Mathematics Education.
