Mai Noguchi-Hubbard, PhD has extensive work experience in the field of healthcare and economics. Mai currently holds the position of Vice President - Health Division at the American Institutes for Research, where they started in 2022. Prior to this, they worked at IMPAQ International, which was acquired by AIR in 2020. At IMPAQ, they served as Vice President and also as the Managing Director and Vice President (Acting) from 2018 to 2019. In 2021, they worked as a Guest Lecturer at Duke University - The Fuqua School of Business. Earlier in their career, they worked at Mathematica Policy Research as a Senior Research Economist from 2009 to 2018. Mai played key roles in projects related to physician and healthcare payment reform, evaluation of quality performance, and analysis of healthcare cost trends. Mai also directed projects to implement the Alternative Payment Model component of the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act (MACRA) and the Value-based Payment Modifier Program. Prior to that, they worked as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 2005 to 2009. Mai also worked as a Teacher at the Emory Center for Child Development and Enrichment from 2001 to 2003 and as a Research Analyst/Intern at Pfizer Pharmaceuticals in 2001.

Mai Noguchi-Hubbard, PhD pursued their education in a systematic manner which started in 1995 when they attended Phillips Exeter Academy for their high school education. Following this, they joined Emory University from 1999 to 2003, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics and Economics with Summa Cum Laude. Their passion for the subject persisted, leading their to pursue further education.

From 2004 to 2009, Mai Noguchi-Hubbard enrolled at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where they successfully completed their PhD in Economics. Through their dedicated efforts, they specialized in the field of Economics, grasping a comprehensive understanding of the subject and contributing to their academic growth.
