Preeya Pandya Mbekeani

Preeya Pandya Mbekeani has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Their current position is as a Researcher at the American Institutes for Research, starting in 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Brown University from 2021 to 2023. From 2020 to 2021, they served as an Associate Program Officer at the Spencer Foundation. Previously, they held multiple roles at the Harvard University Graduate School of Education, including Graduate Teaching Fellow from 2014 to 2020 and Graduate Research Assistant to Richard J. Murnane and Sean F. Reardon from 2015 to 2018. Preeya Pandya also worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Center for Education Policy Research at Harvard University from 2013 to 2016. Before their time at Harvard, they worked as a Leadership Specialist at the MA Department of Elementary and Secondary Education from 2011 to 2013. Prior to that, they were a Teacher-Counselor at the Cambridge Housing Authority from 2006 to 2011 and a French Teacher at North Central High School from 2003 to 2006.

Preeya Pandya Mbekeani completed their education at Harvard University, where they obtained a Doctor of Education (EdD) degree with a specialization in Quantitative Policy Analysis in Education in the year 2020. Before attending Harvard, they also pursued a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree with a focus on Education Policy & Management at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Earlier in their academic journey, Preeya obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Sociology from the University of Chicago.
