Suzanne Claussen, CAPM, has extensive work experience in various human resources and administrative roles. Suzanne started their career as a Human Resources Generalist at Mercy Housing, where they provided customer service support for various benefits. Suzanne then moved on to Angelica Textile Services as a Human Resources Coordinator, where they managed benefits administration for multiple plants. Suzanne later worked at Lutheran Family Services in the Carolinas as an Employee Benefits Manager, where they coordinated employee benefits for a large number of employees. Suzanne also had a temporary role as a Human Resources Assistant at the American Institutes for Research, where they assisted with recruiting and HR compliance. Suzanne then joined the American Institutes for Research in various roles, including Administrative Associate and Administrative Specialist, where they monitored project budgets and coordinated logistics for offsite meetings. In their most recent position as a Human Capital Associate, they contributed to the organization's mission of conducting research and evaluation to improve people's lives. Suzanne Claussen, CAPM, received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Advertising from Penn State University, where they studied from 1985 to 1989.

In addition to their degree, Suzanne has obtained several certifications and completed various courses throughout their career. Suzanne earned the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) designation from the Project Management Institute in July 2021. Suzanne also completed the "Managing New Managers" and "Coaching for Results" courses on LinkedIn in December 2020 and September 2019, respectively.

Suzanne has also pursued certifications in Reiki, specifically Reiki II and Reiki I, from the Reiki Usui System of Natural Healing in April 2019 and March 2019, respectively. Moreover, they completed courses on "Writing Formal Business Letters and Emails," "Creating a Positive and Healthy Work Environment," "Human Resources: Using Metrics to Drive HR Strategy," "Coaching Employees through Difficult Situations," "Customer Service: Serving Internal Customers," "Organizational Culture," and "HR as a Business Partner" on Lynda.com in 2018.

Lastly, Suzanne obtained the Human Resources Generalist certification from the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) in 1999.
