Marjorie Kitzes

Director of Operations & Administration at American International Health Alliance

Marjorie Kitzes joined AIHA as Director of Operations and Administration in April 2017. She brings an extensive background in global health, human rights, and education programs funded by U.S. and European Governments, as well as private foundations. She is recognized as an accomplished leader and effective project manager with proven strength in financial management, contracts and grants administration, staff development, and capacity building. She also has a demonstrated track record of ensuring compliance with global regulations and best financial practices, as well as improving operational efficiency. Marjorie most recently served as Senior Director for Sponsored Programs Administration at the National Academies of Science, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM). Before joining NASEM, she was the Senior Director for Project Management Support and Center Administration at Management Sciences for Health (MSH), and the Senior Director for Grants, Contracts and Compliance at the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative (IAVI). Previously, she held positions as Director of Grants and Contracts at the Population Council and as Deputy Director of Contracts/Grants Management at the Academy for Educational Development (AED). Marjorie holds a M.Ed. in Counseling and a B.A. in Anthropology. She is also a Certified Professional Coach.
