Jay Holmes is a seasoned professional in science education, currently serving as the Senior Manager of Urban Advantage Professional Learning at the American Museum of Natural History since March 1993. With extensive experience in designing and presenting middle school science professional development, Jay has also led group trips focusing on geology and ecology in various locations, including the National Parks of the Western US and the Galapagos. As the Discovery Room Microscopy Lab Coordinator, Jay developed interactive activities for museum visitors, and further organized after-school science programs for high school students. Additionally, Jay held the position of President at the New York Microscopical Society from July 2019 to April 2023. Educationally, Jay holds a BS in Geology from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an ABT in Geophysics from Penn State University.
