Hilary Buxton has an extensive work experience in the media industry. Hilary started their career as an Account Executive at The Haughey Group in 1987. Hilary then joined WGBH in 1994, where they served as a Coordinating Producer for programs like "This Old House" and "The Victory Garden." Hilary was responsible for sourcing, researching, scouting locations, and conducting interviews for these shows. Additionally, they managed client service and alignment strategy for national sponsors. In 2008, Buxton joined American Public Television as a Director of Content Development and Production Executive. Hilary'srole involved providing expertise and guidance to APT producers, mentoring staff, and overseeing department initiatives. Hilary also played a pivotal role in evaluating and ruling on public television's FCC-driven underwriting policy and program practice.
