Barbara Homan

Barbara Homan, M.Ed., currently serves as the Manager of Learning Design & Innovation at the American Society of Addiction Medicine since September 2024, while also fulfilling the role of Instructional Designer at HurixDigital since July 2024. Previously, Barbara worked as an Instructional Designer for Caring Cradle from March to July 2024, where collaboration with subject matter experts led to the development of training modules for the health field and the creation of technical training using Camtasia. Barbara's extensive experience includes a long tenure at the Polk County School Board from December 2006 to July 2024, where responsibilities included leading a department, conducting needs analyses, and developing microlearning modules to address curriculum delivery. Educational qualifications include an eLearning and Instructional Design Credential from the Applied Instructional Design Academy, a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instructions with Technology from Grand Canyon University, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from The University of Memphis.
