Dario Bernardini

Dario Bernardini, APR, is a seasoned academic and communications professional with extensive experience in teaching and strategic communications. Currently serving as a Senior Professorial Lecturer at American University since July 2014, Dario teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in communication, public relations, PR writing, and reputation management while also chairing the University Undergraduate Curriculum Committee. Previous academic positions include roles at Ithaca College, East Carolina University, and Bloomsburg University, where Dario contributed to the development of corporate communication curricula and served as an adviser to PRSSA chapters. Dario’s professional experience encompasses various leadership roles in marketing and communications, including directing marketing initiatives for the Pennsylvania Treasury Department and managing strategic communications at L-3 Communications and Amisys Synertech. Dario holds a Master of Science in Communications Management from Syracuse University and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Temple University.
