Doug Karmel

Doug Karmel has extensive work experience in various leadership roles. Doug served as the Vice President of Global Development & Construction at Americold Logistics, LLC since February 2019. In this role, they led customer supply chain integration projects and was responsible for expanding Americold's networks globally.

Prior to this, Doug worked at O'Neal, Inc. from February 2013 to February 2019 as the Vice President of the Advanced Facilities SBU. Doug played a crucial role in managing the capital planning, development, design, and implementation services for manufacturing, distribution, and logistics markets.

Before joining O'Neal, Inc., Doug served as the Vice President of the Facility Market Segment at Prime Engineering from February 2011 to February 2013. Doug also worked as the Managing Principal of NKF Consulting at Newmark Grubb Knight Frank from October 2008 to February 2011.

Doug's earlier experience includes roles as the Senior Vice President at Facility Design Group from June 2000 to October 2008, the Vice President at McClier (part of AECOM) from June 1995 to June 2000, and the Manager at Garr Consulting in Deloitte Consulting from January 1994 to June 1995.

Doug began their career as a Senior Manufacturing Systems Engineer at CRS Sirrine Engineers from June 1988 to January 1994. Prior to that, they worked as an Industrial Engineer at Michelin from June 1985 to June 1988.

Doug's first professional experience was as a Captain in the US Army from June 1979 to June 1985. Doug was stationed at Ft. Wainwright, Alaska and Ft. Stewart, Georgia during their time in the military.

Doug Karmel attended the United States Military Academy at West Point from 1975 to 1979, where they obtained a BS degree. In 1983, they enrolled at Central Michigan University and completed their MA degree in Business Management in 1985.
