Job Summary:

The Security Supervisor will oversee facility security to protect all company assets. The Security Supervisor may also manage and/or implement security protocols related to the storage of confidential information and documents.

Weekend availability is a must

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Trains security staff. Prepares and conducts training for new hires and current staff. Show them the sites and show post orders and what goals need to be met to do their job.
  • Oversees the daily workflow, schedules.
  • Work closely with dispatch and help them make sure all employees take proper rest and lunch breaks.
  • Must be good at defusing any situation while on the job. Customer service skills are important and must be taken into action before using any type of force. Attendance must be up to par/ will be checked on when attempting to apply for this job.
  • Following proper procedures and protocols when it comes to disciplinary of guards and other personnel.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provides and/or implements security and security protocols for all assigned facilities and information systems.
  • Takes proactive steps to provide a safe and secure working environment to staff and visitors.
  • Respond to alarms (must have firearms)
  • Respond to calls for service.
  • Cover other shifts if needed or when needed.
  • Conducts regular walk-throughs and security inspections for assigned facilities.
  • Where government projects are involved, serves as a liaison to government agencies concerning project security; assists with security clearance processing for employees working on government classified programs.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Use a company vehicle to check on guards in the field to make sure guards have uniforms on and look sharp. Assist with any concerns or problems they may have.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Extensive knowledge of security protocol and procedures.
  • Excellent management and supervisory skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to provide training on security policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work with confidential and classified information.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Must be reliable and on time.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two years of related security experience required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time.
  • Ability to traverse various areas of the facility to conduct inspections and plan security procedures.

Other Requirements

  • Acceptable DMV record (K-4)

  • CA Guard Card

  • CA Firearms Permit

  • Speak, Read, and Write English
