Karen Tollett Martin, MA, RDN, LD, FAND, FASPEN, is an experienced registered dietitian with over two decades of expertise in nutrition, particularly focused on optimizing nutrition for patients with ALS. Currently serving as Director and Nutrition Program Liaison at Amerita, Inc, since September 2017, Karen has also been part of the UT Health San Antonio's Department of Neurology since 2009. Additional roles include serving as a dietitian with the ALS Association South Texas, leading nutrition initiatives, and providing educational webinars. Karen’s career encompasses various settings including hospitals, educational institutions, and community organizations, reflecting a strong commitment to enhancing dietary care across populations. Karen holds a Master of Arts in Political Science and Public Administration, along with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics.
