Raoul Tenazas

Creative Director at amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research

Raoul Tenazas has extensive work experience in the field of graphic design and art direction. Raoul began their career in 1983 as an Assistant Art Director at ION International and then worked as an Art Director at Broadband Publishing in 1984. In 1985, they joined Maclean Hunter Publications as an Art Director, where they art directed promotional materials for pharmaceutical companies and co-directed a medical magazine. In 1989, they became the Design and Production Manager at amfAR, where they designed and created various layouts for corporate and event identities, advertisements, annual reports, websites, newsletters, brochures, and more. In 1998, they took on the role of Creative Director at amfAR, responsible for overseeing the design and execution of all electronic and printed materials. In 2008, they briefly worked as a Website Designer at Victoria Towers.

Raoul Tenazas began their education at Ateneo de Manila University in 1967 and completed their studies there in 1970. Raoul then attended Jose Abad Santos School from 1970 to 1975, although no degree or field of study information is available for this period. Following that, they pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Advertising at the University of Santo Tomas from 1975 to 1980. Finally, from 1985 to 1989, they attended the School of Visual Arts for Continuing Education, focusing on Computer Graphics.
