Paul Johnson

Paul Johnson has extensive experience in compliance and legal roles within the biopharmaceutical industry, currently serving as Associate Vice President and Head of Global Compliance for Amgen Rare Disease since February 2005. Johnson's responsibilities include building a global compliance team and framework, leading the international anti-bribery/anti-corruption program, and directing the global ethics and integrity program. Prior roles at Amgen included Executive Director positions focused on global compliance strategy and U.S. compliance leadership. Before joining Amgen, Johnson served as Senior Counsel at the Office of Counsel to the Inspector General at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, specializing in Medicare fraud and abuse. Johnson holds a Doctor of Law degree in Health Care Law from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and Government from American University.
