Nathan Cartel

Nathan Cartel is an experienced culinary professional and entrepreneur currently serving as the House Manager in the Office of the President at Amherst College since April 2023. As the Founder and Executive Chef of PlatedMA since April 2022, Nathan has developed customized six-week menus and conducted cooking lessons. From June 2015 to June 2022, Nathan owned and operated Haven Foods, LLC, a local organic paleo home food delivery service. Previous roles include Sous Chef at Eagle Hill School, Editor and Writer at Foodsided.com, and various culinary positions at Amherst College and other establishments. Nathan holds a BS in Physics, Math, and Political Science, as well as an M.Div in Church Planting from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
