Jongwon Choi

Jongwon Choi has held several positions throughout their career, beginning with a Graduate Research Assistant at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2012 to 2016. During this time, they also served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. In 2016, they were a participant in the Insight Asia Pacific Program at McKinsey & Company. From 2017 to 2021, they were the Manager of Molecular Simulations Division (Alternative Military Duty) at Dongjin Semichem Co., Ltd., where they implemented machine learning and optimization algorithms to novel molecule design. Jongwon also investigated chemical properties utilizing various molecular simulations. Currently, they are the Vice President of Manufacturing at Amogy.

Jongwon Choi received their Bachelor of Engineering degree in Sustainable Energy and Environmental Engineering from Osaka University in 2012. Jongwon then went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy in Materials Science and Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, which they completed in 2017. In 2020, they obtained two certifications from Coursera: Deep Learning Specialization and SQL for Data Science.
