Matt Cibula

Chief Technology Officer at Ampere Scientific

Matt Cibula has worked in various roles in the technology and research fields since 2009. From 2009 to 2015, they were a Research Assistant at Oregon State University, where they worked in the Optical Physics Lab and Terahertz Physics Lab. In the Optical Physics Lab, they wrote a thesis on holographic optical tweezers for multiplexed spectroscopy and micromechanical measurements, designed and installed a dual-wavelength optical system, and developed LabVIEW software to control optical tweezers and acquire video and spectral data. In the Terahertz Physics Lab, they wrote an undergraduate thesis on generation of high energy terahertz radiation through optical rectification, and assisted with THz time-domain spectroscopy on quantum wells and semiconductors. Matt also served as a Teaching Assistant. From 2015 to present, they have worked as a Chief Technology Officer and Senior Product Engineer at Ampere Scientific, and as an Independent Consultant.

Matt Cibula obtained a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Oregon State University between 2006 and 2010. Matt then continued their studies at Oregon State University and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Physics in 2015. Additionally, Matt Cibula holds two certifications from National Instruments, a Certified LabVIEW Associate Developer and a Certified LabVIEW Developer.
