Daniel A. Sheik

Director, Research and Technology at Amplified Sciences

Daniel A. Sheik has worked in the research and technology field since 2008. Daniel A. began their career at Mirus Bio as an Associate Scientist I. In 2008, they moved to Roche Madison, Inc. and worked as an Associate Scientist I, where they developed and synthesized multiple biodegradable polymer systems with novel functionalities for targeting and entering cells through assorted mechanisms. Daniel A. also improved targeting and delivery of siRNA while decreasing toxicity profile of polymeric systems both in vitro and in vivo. In 2016, they joined the Purdue Institute for Drug Discovery as a Postdoctoral Research Associate. In 2019, they moved to Cellphire, Inc. as a Sr. Research Scientist in Nanomedicine, Cellular Drug Delivery. Most recently, in 2021, they joined Amplified Sciences, Inc. as the Director of Research and Technology.

Daniel A. Sheik received their Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from Purdue University in 2008, after studying there from 2004-2008. Daniel A. then went on to receive their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Chemical Biology from UC San Diego in 2016.
