Michele Girdharry

Michele Girdharry has over 20 years of work experience in compliance and risk management. Michele is currently the Executive Director of Compliance at Amryt Pharma plc. Prior to that, they worked at Amicus Therapeutics as the Director of Global Compliance, where they were responsible for managing third-party vendors and designing strategies to mitigate compliance risks. Michele also served as a Consultant at Helio Health Group, assisting companies in mitigating compliance risks and improving business processes.

Before their role at Amicus Therapeutics, Michele worked at Deloitte as a Senior Manager, leading global teams in addressing compliance and anti-bribery risks. Michele also played a key role in designing and implementing compliance risk assessments for a global company and leading a project for a large regional utility in re-designing their fraud risk program.

Earlier in their career, Michele worked at Huron as a Director, focusing on mitigating commercial compliance risk and assisting clients with sales and marketing compliance requirements. Michele also gained experience in corporate finance as an Analyst at Berenson & Company, where they analyzed various transactions for middle-market entities.

Michele Girdharry holds a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Molecular Biology from New York University. Michele obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) Honours degree in Microbiology from the University of Toronto. Additionally, Michele is a Certified Fraud Examiner, certified by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE).
