Job description

There are three (3) general subcommittee member positions available.

PURPOSE - The "why" – the core reason or motivation behind the role

To support Event teams and the National Events Officer in creating a world-class AMSA events experience, especially at a local level.

DOMAIN - Your territory – the specific area or subject you have control and autonomy over.

  • AMSA Events Guide
  • Small-scale local (uni- or state-based) events
  • Upskilling for event volunteers

ACCOUNTABILITY - Your responsibilities – the actions and outcomes you're answerable for

  • Creation and editing of an AMSA Events Guide
  • Planning and executing local events, including theme, format, venue hire, entertainment and catering

TIME COMMITMENT Normal periods: 1-2 hours/week Busy periods: 5-8 hours/week in the leadup to events, more if responsible for a local event
