Rick Pounds

Rick Pounds has a diverse work experience that spans over 18 years. Rick began their career as a Captain in the U.S. Army, serving as a Field Artillery officer and earning recognition for their outstanding performance. After leaving the military, Rick worked as a Business Development Manager for Firetrace Aerospace LLC, where they focused on securing new business opportunities in the aerospace and defense industry. Rick later became the Director of Business Development for the same company, responsible for creating and executing strategic plans to increase revenue and market share. Rick also held the role of Director of New Business Development at Border Construction Specialties, where they developed a business plan for a regional construction material supplier targeting federal and state projects. Currently, Rick is Vice President of Operations at AmSafe Aviation, where they oversee all major business activities related to aerospace airbag products. With a strong background in operations, business development, and military leadership, Rick Pounds brings a wide range of skills and experience to their roles.

Rick Pounds has a diverse education history with a focus on both military and business-related studies. Rick began their education in 1999 at the United States Military Academy at West Point, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Science with a specialization in Economics and Environmental Engineering.

Following their undergraduate studies, in 2013 to 2014, Rick completed the CGSC Intermediate Leaders Education (ILE) Common Core program, concentrating on Organizational Leadership and Operational Art at the Battalion Through Division Level. In 2011, they attended the Field Artillery Captains Career Course, further enhancing their knowledge of Organizational Leadership and the Military Decision-making Process.

Rick's pursuit of higher education continued in 2015 when they completed the Stability, Security, and Development in Complex Operations Certificate program at the Naval Postgraduate School. This program provided him with advanced skills in managing complex operations and ensuring stability and security.

To further develop their business acumen, Rick enrolled in the Jack Welch Management Institute in 2016. Rick successfully earned a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree with a focus on Executive Management, completing the program in 2018.

Currently, Rick is preparing to further their military education. Rick is scheduled to begin the Master's degree in Strategic Studies program at The United States Army War College in 2022, where they will delve deeper into the study of strategic military concepts and tactics.
