James Buthorn

James Buthorn is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in security and criminal investigations. Currently serving as Executive Director at JPMorgan Chase & Co. since July 2022, James is dedicated to preventing fraud and safeguarding the JPMorgan Chase brand. In addition, James has held the role of Senior Special Agent at Amtrak OIG since October 2020, focusing on investigations related to fraud and abuse affecting the National Railroad Corporation. James's prior experience includes a distinguished career at the United States Postal Inspection Service, where roles ranged from Inspector in Charge, leading law enforcement operations, to Program Manager for Global Security and Investigations, where complex international criminal investigations were initiated. James also contributed significantly as a Detective Investigator for the Kings County District Attorney's Office and held a seizure asset position with the U.S. Department of Justice early in the career. James holds a BA in Liberal Arts and Sciences from The City College of New York and several certifications from prestigious institutions.
