Michael Sage

Michael Sage has a diverse work experience in procurement and purchasing across various industries. Michael is currently working as a Lead Sourcing Specialist at Amtrak since June 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Senior Procurement Specialist at Dorman Products from December 2020 to June 2022. Before that, they worked as a Buyer at Nutrisystem, Inc. for a brief period from September 2020 to December 2020.

Michael also gained valuable experience as a Purchasing Agent at Clemens Food Group from February 2017 to August 2020. During their tenure, they achieved and maintained a 99% service level for packing materials, achieved $600,000 of annual negotiated savings, and managed purchasing and inventory across multiple categories using SAP Ordering Module. Additionally, they collaborated cross-functionally to improve forecast and inventory accuracy.

Michael started their career as an Associate Buyer at C&S Wholesale Grocers from June 2016 to February 2017, where they were responsible for maintaining a high service level and managing procurement for multiple customers.

Prior to their career in procurement, Michael gained internship experience in warehouse management and promotions/marketing at Clemens Food Group and Konditor & Cook respectively in 2015 and 2014.

Michael Sage attended the University of Pittsburgh from 2012 to 2016. Prior to that, they went to Archmere Academy for their secondary education.
