Thiane Carneiro has over 10 years of work experience. In 2021, they began working as a Scientist 1 in Downstream Process Development for Amyris. From 2015 to 2021, they were a Doctoral Researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Dynamics of Complex Technical System, where they worked to improve enantioseparation by selective crystallization to obtain pure chiral ingredients and to recycle by-product. From 2011 to 2015, they were an Undergraduate Research Fellow at Grupo de Pesquisa em Separações por Adsorção - Departamento de Engenharia Química (UFC). In 2010, they were a Quality Assurance Intern at HEINEKEN France, where they were responsible for packaging quality control, qualitative and quantitative analysis of bottle loss in production, development and implementation of data collection system of bottle loss, and training of production staff.
Thiane Carneiro obtained their Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the Federal University of Ceara in 2013, after studying there from 2007. Thiane then went on to obtain their Master's degree in General Engineering from Ecole centrale de Lyon in 2013. Finally, they obtained their PhD in Chemical Process Engineering from Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg in 2021.
