Matthew Gula

Matthew Gula is an experienced Senior Analyst at ANSER, a position held since December 2016. Previously, Gula served as a Special Assistant in the Office of the Secretary of Defense for Policy at the Pentagon from April 2013 to November 2016, contributing to operational crisis response and policy employment strategies. Gula's tenure at the United States Department of Defense included work as a Defense Fellow, gaining extensive experience across multiple offices within the department. Earlier roles in political organizing included Deputy Field Director and Regional Field Director for Organizing for America, where Gula successfully enhanced voter turnout and managed extensive teams. Gula holds a Master of Public Policy in International Relations from Pepperdine University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Theater from The George Washington University.
