Jack Powell

Jack Powell has a diverse range of work experience in the technology industry. Jack currently holds the role of Senior Cloud Engineer Lead at Ancoris, where they are responsible for leading the cloud engineering team. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Cloud Engineer at the same company.

Before joining Ancoris, Jack worked at Cloudreach as a Senior Cloud Systems Engineer. Jack spent two years working with client BP, where they designed and built a company-wide MLops platform. In the second year, they supported various ML-related projects on the platform and integrated new features. Jack also worked with client Dentsu, where they designed and built a serverless solution for automating subscription and network provisioning.

Jack's earlier experience includes working as a DevOps: Build & Release Engineer at Hiscox, where they supported and maintained company-wide tooling. Jack also worked as an intern at Xenith Consulting Limited, where they assisted with day-to-day support of build and release management activities.

Throughout their career, Jack has gained expertise in various technologies such as Azure ML, Databricks, Kubernetes, Python, PowerShell, and more. Jack has demonstrated their ability to design and build robust and secure solutions, work effectively with clients, and research and qualify new technologies.

Jack Powell pursued their education in the field of software development and computer software engineering. Jack attended Edinburgh College from 2014 to 2016, where they obtained a HND in Software Development. Following this, they enrolled at Edinburgh Napier University from 2016 to 2018 and earned a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Computer Software Engineering. In addition to their formal education, Jack also obtained several certifications from Microsoft. In April 2019, they became certified in AZ-100 Microsoft Azure Infrastructure and Deployment. In July 2019, they obtained the AZ-400 Microsoft Azure DevOps Solutions certification, as well as the Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert certification. Jack also holds the Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate certification, which they obtained in April 2019.
