Carolina Alvarez

Carolina Alvarez has a diverse work experience. Carolina began their career in 2016 as the Director of Mentorship for the Society of Women Engineers. In 2017, they became an Undergraduate Research Assistant at UNM. In 2018, they were a Summer Research Intern at the National Institutes of Health. In 2019, they were a Design Engineer at City Health Tech Inc. and a Client Analytics Intern at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois, Montana, New Mexico, Oklahoma & Texas. In 2020, they were a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Lam Research, where they evaluated metrology methods, used Creo to model 4 measurement tool designs, and created a Brainstorming Framework for improving the team's ideation process. Finally, in 2021, they became a Supply Chain R&D Engineer at Intel Corporation, and in 2022, they are an Associate Mechanical Engineer at Andrews Cooper.

Carolina Alvarez has a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Northwestern University, which they obtained in 2021. Carolina also has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Global Health Studies, which they obtained from Northwestern University in 2020. In addition, they have completed a Global Healthcare Technologies Program at Stellenbosch University in 2020. Carolina has also obtained three certifications: Power BI: Dashboards for Beginners from LinkedIn in 2022, CITI Training - Social Science and Behavioral Science Research from The Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative in 2019, and CITI Training - Group 1 Biomedical Research Investigator from The Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative in 2017.
