James Calvert currently serves as the Deputy Chief Executive and Medical Director at Aneurin Bevan University Health Board since January 2021. In addition, James Calvert is the Clinical Lead for the National Asthma Audit at the Royal College of Physicians, a position held since May 2017. From March 2006 to December 2020, James Calvert worked at North Bristol NHS Trust as both Associate/Deputy Medical Director and Consultant Respiratory Physician, and previously served as Respiratory Lead for the South West Strategic Health Authority from February 2011 to April 2013. James Calvert's contributions to the Royal College of Physicians include serving as the BTS Representative from 2010 to 2013. James Calvert holds a PhD in Respiratory Epidemiology from the University of London, an MPH in Population & International Health from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, a BMBCh in Medicine from the University of Oxford, and a BSc in Physiology from the University of St Andrews.
