Steve Hollenberg began their work experience in 1987 as a Senior Staff Fellow at the National Institutes of Health, specializing in Critical Care. Steve then became an Associate Professor at Rush University Medical Center from 1993 to 2002. From 2002 to 2012, they were a Professor of Medicine at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School/UMDNJ. In 2012, they joined Cooper Medical School of Rowan University as a Professor of Medicine, a position they held until 2022. During this time, they also worked at Hackensack Meridian Health from 2019 to 2022, holding the roles of Associate Director and Associate Directory in the Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit. From 2002 to the present, they have been the Director of the Coronary Care Unit at Cooper University Hospital. Currently, since April 2022, they serve as the Director of Cardiac Intensive Care at Emory Healthcare.
Steve Hollenberg has an MD degree from the Emory University School of Medicine, which they obtained in 1980. Prior to that, they earned a BA in American Studies from Amherst College, graduating in 1978.
